Bitcoin Pizza Day

One of the world’s oldest cryptocurrency exchanges, BTCC, has kicked off a special event to celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day, offering a grand prize of 1 BTC. Marking the anniversary of the first real-world Bitcoin transaction in 2010—a milestone that helped cement Bitcoin’s value—the campaign will run until May 24.

Pizzas, prizes, and surprise giveaways

BTCC’s “Pick a Pizza” mystery pizza event invites participants to collect “Dough” points by completing sets of tasks. These tasks include depositing at least 200 USDT, trading BTCUSDT futures, and sharing the campaign on X. For every 10 Dough points earned, participants unlock a mystery pizza, each containing surprise prizes drawn from a total reward pool of 400,000 USDT.

Among the rewards available are a 1 BTC grand prize, a 3,000 USDT futures trading fund, a 522 USDT cash bonus, and BTC trading fee rebates. In total, more than 9,600 prizes await users who join the event.

Participants seeking bonus prizes can also share their favorite Bitcoin memory or a Pizza Day message on X, tagging their post with #BTCC15. Every participant receives a 5 USDT trading fund, and the 20 best posts will each earn an additional 20 USDT bonus.

Strong focus on reserve transparency

Coinciding with the campaign, BTCC released its Proof of Reserves report for May 2026, highlighting a total reserve ratio of 133 percent. Reserve ratios above 100 percent indicate that user assets are more than fully backed and secured.

In its May 2026 report, BTCC highlighted reserve ratios of 126 percent for BTC, 155 percent for ETH, 127 percent for USDT, 123 percent for USDC, 111 percent for XRP, and 167 percent for ADA.

These figures reaffirm BTCC’s commitment to high security standards and financial transparency, which have been consistently maintained over the past year.

15th anniversary on the horizon

With its 15th anniversary approaching in June 2026, BTCC is gearing up for large-scale celebrations. New rewards with a FIFA World Cup theme and a raffle for AFA jerseys signed by Messi will be part of the festivities. The exchange also announced that valuable prizes, including tickets to the World Cup final, are set to be distributed. Updates about these events will continue to be shared through the @BTCCexchange account on X.
