While Sky News characterized the partnership as involving a “significant sum,” neither company has released precise financial figures. Both Intel and McLaren have kept the monetary aspects of the arrangement confidential.
The partnership will see Intel deploy its Xeon processor family alongside Core Ultra processors throughout McLaren’s technical operations. These advanced chips will power critical functions including vehicle dynamics modeling and real-time race strategy calculations — computationally intensive tasks that directly influence on-track performance.

McLaren Racing’s CEO Zak Brown emphasized the technological foundation of modern racing: “Performance in IndyCar and Formula 1 racing is driven by technology, and partnering with Intel strengthens our ability to innovate at scale,” he stated.

The collaboration extends well beyond Formula One’s international circuit. Intel’s partnership encompasses the Arrow McLaren team competing in IndyCar, bringing the technology partnership to America’s premier open-wheel racing series.
The esports realm also factors prominently into the agreement. Intel will serve as the official gaming technology partner for McLaren’s F1 Sim Racing esports squad, with company branding featured prominently on the sim racing vehicle and crew apparel.
This arrangement delivers Intel exposure across three competitive racing platforms — Formula One, IndyCar, and esports — consolidated within a unified partnership framework.

Intel stock (INTC) declined approximately 0.27% when the announcement was made. The chipmaker has been focused on strengthening its competitive position in the processor marketplace, and this McLaren collaboration positions its technology before an international motorsport viewership.
The Xeon processor family is engineered for data center environments and professional workstation applications, while the Core Ultra lineup addresses high-performance computing needs for both consumer and professional markets. Integrating both product lines into a racing team’s technical infrastructure provides Intel with a practical demonstration platform beyond mere brand exposure.
McLaren ranks among Formula One’s most competitive teams currently. The organization has gained considerable momentum through recent seasons, lending credibility to Intel’s association with performance excellence.
The Arrow McLaren IndyCar squad races in the NTT IndyCar Series, providing the partnership with additional visibility across North America’s racing landscape.
Intel’s F1 reentry coincides with growing interest from prominent technology corporations seeking global visibility and alignment with cutting-edge engineering performance.
Thursday’s announcement was not accompanied by additional financial disclosure, and no further monetary details are anticipated.
