America

Fantasy Sports

Dollars

For the past several years, DraftKings and Bet365 have been the two names most associated with serious online sports betting. One built its brand in America through daily fantasy and a loud, aggressive marketing push into regulated state markets. The other grew steadily from the UK into a global operation that now spans dozens of jurisdictions. Both are large, well-funded, and deeply embedded in their respective markets.

But a new platform launched in 2026 is starting to attract attention from a different kind of player — one who uses cryptocurrency, wants more from a loyalty programme than a points balance, and expects a casino and sportsbook to feel like one product rather than two. That platform is ZunaBet, and this article looks at how all three compare.

DraftKings: From Fantasy Sports to Full Sportsbook

DraftKings started as a daily fantasy sports platform and used that foundation to build one of the most recognisable sports betting brands in the United States. As state-by-state legalisation rolled out following the 2018 Supreme Court decision, DraftKings was positioned to move quickly — and it did.

Today it operates a full sportsbook, an online casino in the states where that is permitted, and a range of additional products including its original daily fantasy offering. The sportsbook covers all major American sports — NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL — alongside soccer, tennis, golf, and a growing international market selection. The live betting product is strong and the app is one of the most used in the US market.

The casino side has expanded significantly in recent years, with slots and live dealer content added across its licensed states. DraftKings has also made moves into crypto, though its support remains limited compared to dedicated crypto platforms — it is more of a feature than a foundation.

The loyalty programme, DraftKings Dynasty Rewards, operates on a points and tier system. Players earn Dynasty Dollars through wagering, which can be redeemed for site credits. The system has multiple tiers and does offer some meaningful rewards at higher levels, but like most traditional programmes the mechanics are complex and the real return rate is not always easy to calculate at a glance.

DraftKings is a dominant force in the US market. Its limitations are largely structural — it operates within the constraints of state-by-state regulation, its crypto integration is limited, and its loyalty programme is more complex than transparent.

Bet365: The Global Sportsbook Standard

Bet365 operates on a different scale entirely. Founded in 2000 in the UK, it has grown into one of the most widely used online gambling platforms in the world, licensed across dozens of jurisdictions including the UK, Malta, Gibraltar, and Australia.

The sportsbook is the product that defines Bet365. Market depth, in-play betting quality, and live streaming across major global sports have made it a benchmark against which other sportsbooks are measured. Football coverage in particular is exceptional — the platform was built around it and the product reflects that.

The casino is a solid secondary offering. Slots, live tables, and RNG games are all present. The platform is stable, the brand is trusted, and its regulatory standing is among the strongest in the industry.

Where Bet365 falls short in 2026 is in the same areas it has always fallen short for a specific type of player. Crypto is not supported. The payment infrastructure is entirely fiat — cards, bank transfers, and e-wallets only. The loyalty programme is a points system that functions without being particularly engaging or transparent about what loyalty is actually worth in financial terms.

For the mainstream sports bettor in a regulated fiat market, Bet365 remains one of the best options available. For anyone whose needs sit outside that profile, it has not moved meaningfully to accommodate them.

What Both Platforms Have in Common

DraftKings and Bet365 are very different businesses operating in different markets with different histories. But they share some important characteristics that are relevant to this comparison.

Both were built primarily around sports betting, with casino added as a secondary or subsequent product. Both are heavily fiat-focused — DraftKings has made limited moves toward crypto, but neither platform treats cryptocurrency as a core part of its infrastructure. Both run loyalty programmes that, while functional, operate on points mechanics that make it genuinely difficult for a player to know exactly what their ongoing loyalty is worth.

And both, in different ways, were designed for an earlier moment in the industry — one where fiat banking was the only realistic option, where the US market operated under federal prohibition that shaped product decisions, and where loyalty meant accumulating a points balance rather than receiving a defined percentage back.

ZunaBet: The 2026 Platform Built Around What’s Missing

ZunaBet launched in 2026 under Strathvale Group Ltd, operating on an Anjouan gaming licence. The team behind it brings over 20 years of combined industry experience. It was not built to compete directly with DraftKings or Bet365 in their core regulated markets — it was built to serve the players those platforms were never designed for.

The starting point is crypto. ZunaBet supports more than 20 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT across multiple chains, Solana, Dogecoin, Cardano, and XRP. There are no platform processing fees. Withdrawals are fast. The platform was built crypto-first from day one — not as an added feature, but as the entire financial foundation.

The game library runs to over 11,000 titles from more than 63 providers. Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Evolution, Yggdrasil, and BGaming are among those represented. Slots make up the largest share of the library, but live dealer games and RNG table games are both substantively covered. In terms of volume and provider depth, this is one of the largest crypto casino libraries currently available.

The sportsbook is fully integrated into the same platform — not a separate product that shares a login. Football, basketball, tennis, and NHL sit alongside esports markets covering CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Valorant. Virtual sports and combat sports are also included. For players who move between casino and sports betting, the unified experience removes a friction point that linked-but-separate products cannot fully resolve.

Dedicated apps are available for iOS, Android, Windows, and MacOS. The interface is dark-themed, HTML5-powered, and built for fast loading across devices. 24/7 live chat support is standard.

The Welcome Bonus: $5,000 Across Three Deposits

ZunaBet’s new player offer spreads value across three deposits rather than concentrating it in one. The first deposit receives a 100% match up to $2,000 plus 25 free spins. The second gets a 50% match up to $1,500 plus 25 spins. The third returns to a 100% match up to $1,500 with a further 25 spins.

Total combined value: up to $5,000 in matched funds and 75 free spins. The structure rewards players for returning and engaging across their first several sessions, building value over time rather than burning it in a single transaction.

Loyalty Programmes: Points vs Rakeback

The loyalty comparison between ZunaBet and its traditional competitors is where the contrast becomes most stark.

DraftKings Dynasty Rewards and Bet365’s points programme both ask players to accumulate credits through wagering and redeem them for bonuses or site credits. The return rate is not stated plainly, the value per point requires calculation, and the experience of progressing through tiers does not always feel proportionate to the time and money invested.

ZunaBet’s dragon evolution loyalty system is built around a different mechanic entirely: rakeback. Six named tiers — Squire, Warden, Champion, Divine, Knight, and Ultimate — each carry a defined rakeback percentage. Squire earns 1%. Ultimate earns 20%. Players know exactly what they are getting back, at every tier, without any calculation required.

Additional benefits layer on top of the rakeback — tier-based free spins up to 1,000, VIP club access, double wheel spins, and a gamified mascot called Zuno that gives the programme a consistent identity. But the core mechanic is transparency. Players know their rate, they know their tier, and they know what the next one offers.

At 20% rakeback for top-tier players, ZunaBet returns a fifth of losses over time. For regular players, that is a meaningful ongoing benefit that compounds with continued play — and one that no points-based system at a traditional platform currently matches in either clarity or value.

Three Platforms, Three Different Players

DraftKings is the right platform for American sports bettors who want a polished, app-first experience built for the US market, with daily fantasy and casino added into the mix.

Bet365 is the right platform for international sports bettors who want the deepest market coverage available at a traditionally regulated fiat operator.

ZunaBet is the right platform for players who have moved on from fiat banking, want a loyalty programme that tells them plainly what they are earning, and expect casino, sportsbook, and esports to live together in one place without compromise.

The first two platforms helped define what online gambling looked like for a generation of players. ZunaBet is defining what it looks like for the next one.
