Crypto regulation in the United States could enter a completely new phase by July 4, and crypto price discussions are beginning to focus heavily on specific cryptos. The CLARITY Act has already passed through the House. Attention now turns toward the Senate Banking Committee meeting scheduled for May 14, 2026. That vote could decide whether the bill moves one step closer to becoming law.

The proposed legislation is already being framed as a major attempt to finally create clear crypto rules in the United States before America’s 250th Independence Day celebration. Two major steps remain before that can happen. The bill still needs Senate Committee approval and then a full Senate vote.

That timeline matters because regulatory clarity has remained one of the biggest obstacles for many crypto projects. Kaspa now finds itself in a very interesting position because of how the network was originally launched and how its Proof of Work structure resembles Bitcoin.

The CLARITY Act Could Give Kaspa a Stronger Regulatory Position

The CLARITY Act is designed to separate digital commodities from digital securities. That distinction could become extremely important for projects like Kaspa.

Kaspa launched without a pre-mine, without venture capital allocations, and without an ICO structure that regulators often scrutinize. The network also runs on Proof of Work consensus. Those characteristics place Kaspa much closer to Bitcoin than many other altcoins from a regulatory perspective.

If the law officially classifies decentralized proof-of-work assets as commodities, the CFTC would likely oversee Kaspa instead of the SEC. That difference could remove a major cloud that has followed many crypto assets across the United States during the last few years.

Exchange listings could become easier for KAS under a clearer legal framework. Large U.S. platforms such as Coinbase often move carefully when legal uncertainty exists around an asset. A commodity-style classification may reduce some of those concerns.

Institutional investors could also begin viewing Kaspa differently. Large funds usually avoid exposure to assets facing unresolved regulatory questions. A favorable CLARITY Act outcome could open the door for more serious institutional research around KAS.

Another important area involves the Kaspa ecosystem itself. KRC 20 tokens built on Kaspa may also avoid stricter securities treatment under the proposed framework. That could create a safer environment for developers building applications on the network.

Kaspa Price Continues Fighting Through Major Resistance Levels

Kaspa price has struggled near $0.036 for some time, although recent chart activity shows early signs of recovery. A look at the KAS chart shows the price currently bouncing from a trendline support area. That reaction could help buyers attempt another move higher in the short term.

Several resistance zones still stand in the way before Kaspa can establish stronger upward momentum. The most important levels currently remain around $0.041, $0.052, $0.063, and $0.073.

Technical indicators are also starting to lean more bullish. The RSI reading near 62 shows buying pressure strengthening without entering extreme overbought territory yet. STOCH readings above 65 often indicate buyers still control short term momentum. MACD readings turning positive can signal improving trend strength, especially after prolonged weakness.

The Ultimate Oscillator staying above 50 usually points toward broader buying support across multiple timeframes. Bull and Bear Power readings also remain positive, which suggests buyers currently maintain slight control over short term price direction.

ChatGPT Predicts Different Kaspa Price Scenarios if the CLARITY Act Passes

ChatGPT believes the CLARITY Act could become one of the most important regulatory developments for Kaspa because the network already fits many characteristics regulators may favor under the new framework.

Kaspa already carries a strong decentralization narrative. Its fair launch structure and Proof of Work design may allow institutions to compare it more closely to Bitcoin if regulatory clarity improves.

Mildly Bullish Scenario Could Push KAS Price Toward $0.45

Under the most conservative scenario, the CLARITY Act passes but adoption grows gradually instead of exploding immediately.

That environment could still improve exchange confidence around KAS. Retail attention may slowly return as legal concerns fade across the market.

ChatGPT estimates Kaspa price could reach between $0.20 and $0.45 in the shorter term under this outcome. Longer term projections under this scenario stretch between $0.80 and $1.50 if adoption steadily expands over several years.

Institutional Interest Could Change Kaspa’s Market Position

The second scenario becomes more aggressive if institutions begin treating decentralized Proof of Work assets as legitimate commodity style investments.

Kaspa’s faster transaction speeds, energy efficiency improvements, and blockDAG structure could become far more attractive under that environment. Supply dynamics may also matter because roughly 95% of all KAS has already been mined.

Under this scenario, ChatGPT estimates Kaspa price could eventually climb between $0.50 and $1.20 during the shorter term. Longer term targets under stronger adoption conditions range between $3 and $8 during a major crypto expansion cycle.

Full Mainstream Adoption Could Create an Extreme Bullish Scenario

The most aggressive scenario would require several developments happening together over multiple years.

The CLARITY Act would need to fully legitimize decentralized crypto assets in the United States. Kaspa would also need successful technical execution, ecosystem growth, and stronger mainstream exposure.

If those conditions emerge together, Kaspa’s narrative could become very powerful because it combines Bitcoin-style security with much faster transaction speeds.

ChatGPT estimates short term KAS price possibilities between $1.50 and $3 under this environment. Longer term projections could eventually stretch between $10 and $20 if Kaspa captures a meaningful share of broader crypto infrastructure narratives.

Strong Institutional Adoption

$0.50 to $1.20

$10 to $20+

The CLARITY Act alone probably will not send Kaspa price to extreme levels overnight. Regulatory clarity does not automatically guarantee adoption. What it can do, however, is remove one of the biggest barriers limiting exposure to projects like Kaspa inside the United States.
