When Crypto.com revamped its loyalty stack to create Level Up last year, it did more than rename a rewards page. Level Up reshaped how the platform delivers value to traders and cardholders!
This rewards program bundles trading, spending, and lifestyle perks into a tiered membership you can access by:

Paying a monthly/annual subscription

Locking up CRO

The headline benefit across all tiers would be zero trading fees* — a clear and consumer-friendly promise!

What Level Up Actually Is

At its core, Level Up is a unified benefits program. Crypto.com placed a wide range of consumer-facing benefits under one roof and made them available through a monthly/annual subscription or CRO lockup.
Tiers range from a free Basic tier to a VIP-level Private one. Each step increases the zero-trading-fee cap, spending rebate rate on your Crypto.com Card, and lifestyle perks:

4 Headline Perks You’ll Notice

If you use the Crypto.com App regularly, the features that move the needle are straightforward. To sum up what we mentioned above:

Zero Trading Fees*: Save more each time you buy or sell crypto, and keep more of your gains when you turn a profit

Spending Rewards: The Plus and Pro tiers let you earn 2-3% back in CRO, and both Private sub-tiers boast a 4-6% rebate rate

Enhanced CRO Yield: Lock ups under the Level Up umbrella comes with greater CRO rewards on Private-tier lockups, letting you earn 8.5-9.5% p.a.

Practical Tradeoffs for Users

Level Up isn’t an unconditional windfall; there are tradeoffs. If you’re an active trader or heavy card spender, the zero-fee trading* and crypto rewards can produce real savings that outweigh a modest monthly fee or the opportunity cost of a CRO lockup.
However, if you’re a casual user, the math can flip. Subscription fees or the risk of a token lockup have the potential to easily exceed what you’d gain in rewards. There’s also legacy friction. Users who had older CRO lockups and grandfathered benefits reported confusion.
Some users claimed they had reduced perks during the migration to Level Up as well. For anyone who had benefits under the old model, the migration FAQ and the regional terms are must-reads.

Promotions and Early-Adopter Incentives

Crypto.com didn’t just flip a switch; it pushed launch promotions: subscriber reward pools, CRO prize campaigns and limited-time bonuses tied to sign-ups and referrals. Those promotions make the first months especially lucrative for new members; short-term upside gets people to try the product and stay.

How to Decide

If you’re thinking about joining Level Up, run this short test first:

Calculate your monthly card spend and annualise the CRO rewards you’d get at the tier you can realistically hold

Estimate your monthly trading volume and how much you’d save with zero-fee trades*

Compare those two benefits to the subscription cost or the opportunity cost and risk of locking CRO

Check the Level Up page and migration FAQ if you’re a legacy user; the numbers differ by market

Put simply, if the combined savings from trading fee waivers and card spending rewards exceed the subscription/lockup cost in a reasonable time horizon, Level Up is worth it.

Final Thoughts

Level Up is a sensible product evolution. It simplifies Crypto.com’s sprawling perks, puts a compelling consumer-facing promise (zero trading fees*) front and center, and ties more value to CRO holdings. But it also reintroduces choices (subscribe or lockups), and it creates migration friction for existing users who feel they have lost something in the transition.
