President Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to host the Official Trump (TRUMP) meme coin gala luncheon at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Apr. 25. But the same day, he is supposed to attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C., in the evening.
Meanwhile, the terms and conditions related to the event mention that Trump may not be able to attend the 2026 event, and it may even be cancelled for any reason, including, but not limited to, a "force majeure event."

If the president can't make it to the meme coin gala luncheon or the event itself gets cancelled, it may be rescheduled to another date, or those qualified to attend the event will receive a "limited edition TRUMP NFT in lieu thereof."
As per the website, crypto users need to hold TRUMP meme coins from March 12 through Apr. 10 and the top 297 holders will receive an invite.

"The top 29 holders will be invited to a Special VIP Reception & Champagne Toast with President Trump and other Superstar Guests."

The president confirmed on March 2 that he will attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner this year after boycotting it throughout his first term.
As for the clash of the schedule, a Get Trump Memes spokesperson told The Block, "Of course, the President will be attending both events."

TRUMP meme coin fails to consolidate gains

Trump launched the eponymous meme coin on Jan. 17, 2025, only days before his second presidential inauguration.
The token hit its record high price of $73.43 on Jan. 19, 2025. But it dropped to as low as $2.73 on March 12, 2026. The same day, the second gala got announced, and it sent the token rallying to $4.40.
But the meme coin failed to consolidate gains in the following days and was trading at $2.97 at press time.
