GoPlus Security

Let’s be direct about something before the steps.

egoD is a BNB Smart Chain meme token from 2022. Its 24-hour trading volume as of early 2026 is essentially zero. Its market cap is near-zero. Nobody is actively developing it. The reflection mechanism that was supposed to generate passive income for holders only works when there’s actual trading happening — and there isn’t any.

If you already hold EGOD and want to know how to access or move it, this guide has what you need. If you want to buy it fresh in 2026, you should understand that you’d be buying a token with no liquidity, where exiting your position might literally be impossible, from a contract that GoPlus security flagged as allowing the creator to disable sells at will.

That said — how you spend your money is your business. Here’s exactly how it works.

What egoD Is (and What It Was Supposed to Be)

EGOD launched July 2022 as a hyper-deflationary meme token on BNB Smart Chain, explicitly built for the Dogecoin community. The mechanics were borrowed from the reflection token playbook that had a moment in 2021: every transfer burns some tokens permanently and redistributes another percentage to all current holders as “passive income.” One billion total supply. The autoburn was supposed to create scarcity over time.

The problem with this model — and most reflection tokens have this problem — is that the rewards only materialise when there’s trading volume to redistribute. With $0 in daily volume, the reflection mechanism isn’t doing anything for holders. The autoburn reduces supply on a shrinking token that nobody is buying, which doesn’t produce price appreciation. The model requires sustained speculative trading to function, and that trading never materialised at the scale it needed.

To be fair, EGOD isn’t unique in this. Most of the 2022 reflection token wave looked the same: SafeMoon clones, Dogecoin community tokens, BEP20 “passive income” projects. The ones that survived beyond 2023 did so on genuine community activity or exchange listings that brought external liquidity. EGOD had neither at meaningful scale.

The contract is still on-chain. The token still exists. Buying it is technically possible.

What You Need

Three things, and the order matters.

First, you need a Web3 wallet that supports BNB Smart Chain. MetaMask is the most widely used option for desktop — it’s a browser extension, available at metamask.io, and it’s been the standard tool for accessing BSC tokens for years. Trust Wallet is the simpler mobile alternative and comes pre-configured for BNB Smart Chain without any manual network setup. The Binance Wallet Extension, launched in 2025, is also an option if you’re already in the Binance ecosystem.

Second, you need BNB on the BNB Smart Chain network. Specifically BEP20. Not BEP2, not ERC20 — those are different networks and if you send the wrong version to a BSC wallet address, the funds won’t show up. This trips people up constantly.

Third, you need the contract address: 0xc852A20db80B7a225E6C78207E61dD4C13Fae435

Verify that address on BscScan before using it. EGOD isn’t listed in PancakeSwap’s default token list, so you import it manually by pasting the contract address. Scammers create fake tokens with similar names and slightly different contract addresses specifically to exploit this — always verify.

Step One: Get BNB From a Centralised Exchange

Binance is the obvious choice — it’s BNB’s home exchange and the withdrawal process to BSC is straightforward. Coinbase, Kraken, Bybit, and OKX all work too if you prefer them.

Create an account, verify your identity (every regulated exchange requires this now), and buy BNB. The amount depends on how much EGOD you want plus a small buffer for transaction fees — fees on BNB Smart Chain are a fraction of a cent per transaction, so you don’t need much.

When you withdraw, the network selection is critical. Choose BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). Not Binance Chain (BEP2). Not Ethereum. BEP20. The interface on most exchanges will show you a dropdown — double-check before confirming. A withdrawal to the wrong network on a cheap chain like BSC is usually recoverable with some effort, but it’s an unnecessary headache.

Step Two: Configure MetaMask for BNB Smart Chain

MetaMask installs pointing at Ethereum. You need to add BSC manually.

Go to Settings → Networks → Add Network and enter these details:

Network Name: BNB Smart Chain

Chain ID: 56

Symbol: BNB

Block Explorer: https://bscscan.com

Save it and switch to it from the network dropdown at the top of MetaMask. Your BNB balance will appear once the withdrawal from your exchange confirms — usually two to five minutes.

If you’re using Trust Wallet instead, skip this step entirely. Trust Wallet has BNB Smart Chain built in.

Step Three: Send BNB to Your Wallet

From your exchange account, start a withdrawal. Paste your MetaMask wallet address — you copy it by clicking the account name at the top of the MetaMask window. Select BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) as the network. Enter the amount.

Before you hit confirm: read the address back. Crypto transfers are irreversible. There’s no support ticket that gets your money back from a wrong address.

Wait for confirmation. It’ll show up in MetaMask, usually within a few minutes.

Step Four: Import EGOD on PancakeSwap

Go to pancakeswap.finance/swap. Connect your wallet using the button in the top right — MetaMask or WalletConnect for Trust Wallet. Make sure PancakeSwap is set to BNB Smart Chain.

In the swap interface, click the “to” token field and search for EGOD. It won’t be in the default list. Paste the contract address: 0xc852A20db80B7a225E6C78207E61dD4C13Fae435

A warning screen will appear. PancakeSwap flags imported tokens with a caution notice. Verify the contract address matches what you’ve confirmed from BscScan, then proceed.

Step Five: Execute the Swap

This is where low-liquidity tokens get awkward.

Set your slippage tolerance before swapping. For a token with minimal liquidity like EGOD, 5–12% is typical. You find this in the gear icon settings within the PancakeSwap swap interface. Higher slippage means you’re accepting more price impact — the price you execute at may differ significantly from the quote you see.

Enter the BNB amount you want to swap. Review the EGOD estimate. Click Swap, then Confirm Swap in MetaMask.

If the transaction fails, it may be because the liquidity pool is too thin to fill the order at any slippage tolerance. That’s genuinely possible given EGOD’s current state. The transaction fee is lost whether the swap succeeds or not — but BSC fees are tiny, so that’s not a significant financial risk.

Step Six: Add EGOD to Your Wallet Display

EGOD won’t automatically show up in your MetaMask token list. Scroll down in MetaMask, click “Import tokens,” paste the contract address 0xc852A20db80B7a225E6C78207E61dD4C13Fae435, and it’ll detect the token details. Once imported, your balance shows up.

If you want to hold EGOD long term, MetaMask and Trust Wallet are software wallets — convenient, but internet-connected. For significant crypto holdings generally, hardware wallets like Ledger offer better security. For a near-zero-value meme token, the security consideration is academic.

The Risks, Stated Plainly

No exit. $0 in daily trading volume means you may not be able to sell EGOD once you buy it. There may be no buyers. Your position could become permanently illiquid.

Contract risk. GoPlus Security flagged this contract as allowing the creator to make changes including disabling sells, changing fees, or minting tokens. That doesn’t mean the creator will exercise those rights. But it means they can.

Price impact. Even a tiny purchase can move the price significantly on a zero-liquidity token. The number PancakeSwap shows you before you swap may bear no resemblance to what you actually get.

No development. There’s no visible ongoing development activity. Projects that aren’t being actively built tend to drift toward zero.

If you’re interested in DeFi or meme token exposure with actual liquidity, the market has many options with exchange listings, trading volumes, and active communities. EGOD in 2026 is a historical artefact of the 2022 reflection token wave, not a functioning speculative asset.
