Cryptocurrency mining has resumed in Russia’s Buryatia and Zabaykalsky regions after a seasonal ban expired on March 15, 2026. The restrictions had been introduced in November 2025 due to concerns about electricity shortages during the winter season.According to Russian government regulations, the temporary ban covered large parts of both regions.
