Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse revisited a defining XRP community moment during the recent XRP Australia event. According to Eri, Garlinghouse reflected on the 2018 XRP Community Night that featured Snoop Dogg. The memory sparked laughter among attendees and renewed attention around XRP’s cultural milestones.
Featured speakers at the Australia gathering included Evernorth CEO Asheesh Birla and Coinbase Australia Managing Director John O’Loghlen. Independent Reserve CEO Adrian Przelozny also joined the lineup alongside Flare cofounder Hugo Philion. Ripple Senior Director Ross Edwards participated as well, reinforcing institutional presence at the event. However, Garlinghouse’s throwback story drew the most visible reaction from participants.
He described how Snoop Dogg headlined the 2018 celebration in Manhattan. The event took place during the first New York Blockchain Week in May 2018. Organizers designed the night to celebrate XRP’s growing community and developer ecosystem. Consequently, the story highlighted how far the network has progressed since that period.

The recurring format reflects continuity within the XRP Ledger community. Significantly, the consistent gatherings underline a blend of culture and enterprise focus.
From celebrity headliners to developer summits, the narrative signals ecosystem maturity. The Australia event framed past milestones as markers of ongoing community cohesion.
