The integration went live February 2, giving users access to deposits and withdrawals through the sportsbook's cashier system ahead of Super Bowl LX on February 8.
The move creates a new pathway for sports fans who earn $SCOR tokens through participation in licensed sports games or purchase them on cryptocurrency exchanges. Those tokens can now be used directly on BetOnline's platform for wagering and gameplay.
For the online gaming company, which operates sportsbook, casino, and poker services, the partnership opens a channel to blockchain-based sports communities. The integration positions BetOnline to tap into audiences already engaged with on-chain fan activities.
"We are constantly evolving to meet our players where they are, and that now includes the intersection of sports fandom, gaming and blockchain," said Eddie Robbins III, CEO of BetOnline.ag. "$SCOR isn't just another cryptocurrency…it's the premier token of the sports industry. This partnership allows us to directly engage with a new generation of sports fans who value real-world gameplay, verifiable achievements and interoperable rewards."
Sweet, the company behind $SCOR, has built the token as a cross-platform system for fan identity verification and reward distribution. The token operates across Sweet's network of officially licensed sports-themed web3 games, including player-versus-player competitions and mini games tied to major professional sports properties.
Through this integration, BetOnline connects with users already active in Sweet's ecosystem, adding a demographic of sports enthusiasts familiar with both competitive gaming and cryptocurrency transactions.
The launch includes promotional incentives for $SCOR users making deposits, such as complimentary play credits and casino spins for accounts meeting qualifying thresholds. BetOnline has announced plans for additional community features, including private poker and casino tournaments restricted to verified $SCOR token holders, with prize pools distributed in both $SCOR and traditional currency.
"We built $SCOR to bridge the passion of sports fandom with tangible utility and value," Sweet EVP of Global Partnerships Betsy Proctor said. "BetOnline's integration is a landmark moment, turning fan-earned $SCOR into a key for premium gaming experiences. This partnership validates our vision of a reward-first portable fan identity."
BetOnline's history with digital currencies extends back to 2010 when the platform became an early adopter of Bitcoin payments. The company has established a reputation within cryptocurrency circles for supporting high transaction limits, eliminating processing fees, providing immediate transaction completion, and maintaining strong security protocols. The $SCOR addition builds on this foundation by diversifying the platform's digital payment infrastructure.
Founded in 2001, BetOnline has built its operations around long-term customer relationships and community engagement within the online gaming sector. The platform delivers sportsbook, poker, casino, and horse racing products to an international customer base.
The $SCOR integration arrives as professional sports organizations and gaming platforms continue exploring blockchain technology applications for fan engagement and loyalty programs. The timing ahead of Super Bowl weekend provides an immediate test case for token utility during one of the highest-traffic periods in sports betting.
