Anichess teased its upcoming Season 6 titled New Horizons through an official post on X earlier today. Developers described the new season as a step toward redefining strategy, creativity, and community, with every move set to carry more weight in an expanded player ecosystem.
Season 5 wrapped up recently under the Winter Clash banner. The competitive phase brought colder board visuals during the festive period, where ranked games carried higher stakes and players pushed for top leaderboard spots.
A recent partnership with esports organization Team Secret adds momentum. Announced on January 12, Team Secret adopted the CHECK token for its activities, including high-profile Anichess tournaments. The collaboration bridges traditional esports with Web3, using CHECK for NFT passes, merchandise, and prize pools.
Pre-season updates already went live, including faster cast times for spells like Pengu Dive and Pounce & Purr, plus refreshed visuals with new default skins and loading screens. Players can access the build now to test changes before the full season drops.

The New Horizons teaser points to continued growth in mechanics and rewards, giving players time to prepare for what developers position as a major shift in the experience.
