Analysts and traders on X (Twitter) discuss the potential bottoming of Bitcoin's next cycle around $88,000, influenced by unfilled CME futures gaps currently ranging between $88,100 and $90,600.

These discussions suggest that such gaps could serve as significant liquidity zones, potentially affecting Bitcoin's market structure and price levels, though no official regulatory or institutional positions have been introduced.

Recent speculation suggests Bitcoin may form its next cycle bottom near $88K if an existing CME futures gap stays unfilled. This concept focuses on current futures price gaps around $88K to $90K identified by analysts.

Key analysts involved include Ted, active on X (Twitter), who identifies a CME gap between $88,100 and $88,700 as a potential downside liquidity zone. This narrative is primarily driven by traders and exchange research, rather than protocol teams. Ted stated, “Bitcoin tokens had a CME gap between $88,100 and $88,700,” highlighting it as a key technical level post‑holiday.

Traders suggest this gap could act as a "price magnet" driving Bitcoin’s price action. Independent analysts emphasize its potential as a pivotal level, affecting both BTC CME futures and spot prices due to the market sentiment.

The impact extends to the larger market, given that many ethereal and altcoins are indirectly affected. Financial forecasts and on-chain data show increased risk sentiments as investors anticipate potential reversals near these levels.

Historically, CME futures gaps have been filled approximately 98% of the time, though not all achieve this. Independent experts regard unfilled gaps like those at $52K as long-term reference points rather than assured targets.

Analysts from Kanalcoin suggest these CME gaps as liquidity magnets, indicating potential price movements. The $88K zone, if current trends continue, may serve as a significant support level based on historical trends and speculative analyses.
