What happens when a wallet serving millions across Africa integrates human-readable crypto addresses? The answer: transactions get simpler, faster, and error-free. November delivered Palma Wallet’s full FIO integration utilizing our web3 domains, plus two more major partnerships in the pipeline.

Palma Wallet: FIO Web3 Domains Come to Africa
Crypto addresses just became readable across Africa. Palma Wallet launched with full FIO Protocol integration, enabling users to replace complex blockchain addresses with simple, branded handles like ade@plm or chioma@plm.
This integration brings web3 identity to one of crypto’s fastest-growing markets. Here’s what Palma users can now do with their FIO Handle:

Register their @plm handle as their universal crypto identity

Map multiple blockchain addresses (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, etc.) to one simple handle

Send crypto error-free — No more copying, pasting, and praying you didn’t miss a character

Share a branded web3 identity that’s actually memorable

One handle. All your chains. That’s the promise of web3 identities, and Palma just delivered it to their users across Africa and beyond.

About FIO:

FIO, the Foundation for Interwallet Operability, is a decentralized consortium that supports the ongoing development, integration, and promotion of the FIO Protocol. The protocol, built on the FIO Chain, a dPoS blockchain, serves as an open-source, decentralized usability layer solution that works across all blockchains. FIO Protocol uses human-readable Handles to replace the complexity, risk, and inconvenience associated with blockchain-based transactions. Users register FIO Domains (like @wallet or @edge) and create FIO Handles (like alice@wallet) on those domains. These web3 domains and handles can map to blockchain addresses across every chain. Fueling the ecosystem utilization is the FIO Token ($FIO), which powers transactions and incentivizes network participants.
