Sri Lanka: A Gateway for Growth and Investment
Sri Lanka is entering a pivotal moment in its gaming and hospitality evolution. The Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) is being established to centralise and modernise the national regulatory framework, creating a more transparent, investment-ready, and responsibly governed market. The GRA is expected to be fully operational by 30 June 2026, marking a major step toward strengthened oversight and enhanced opportunities for the industry.
As reforms take hold, Sri Lanka is rapidly establishing itself as South Asia’s strategic gateway, attracting both regional and international stakeholders seeking clarity and long-term opportunities. This momentum is further strengthened by the nation’s expanding integrated resort and tourism development pipeline, positioning Sri Lanka as a world-class destination for entertainment, hospitality, and sustainable economic growth.
