Bitcoin and Ethereum represent full transparency where all data is public. Monero and Zcash represent full anonymity where nothing can be traced. It is now a Linux Foundation project and is designed for privacy smart contracts. The syntax feels close to TypeScript so Web2 developers can learn it quickly. The language separates circuit logic from sensitive data access and follows a privacy by default rule. It helps developers avoid accidental data leaks at the code level. Enterprises can build privacy applications without needing deep cryptography knowledge.&nbsp;Together these components form a complete privacy execution system. Midnight does not aim to offer anonymous transfers. TEE based chains such as Secret and Oasis depend on hardware and have a history of vulnerabilities. Zero knowledge based systems offer longer term security. Aztec as an Ethereum privacy layer is tied to ETH gas prices and cannot offer stable cost for enterprise scale operations. Midnight stands out through its predictable DUST resource model.&nbsp;Midnight’s roadmap also reflects a practical approach. From the Hilo phase of token launch to the trusted mainnet stage of Kūkolu to full decentralization in Mōhalu and cross chain expansion in Hua each step supports privacy compliance and enterprise usability.
