Do Kwon’s sentencing, major exchange delistings — and why even CZ’s new ATH prediction matters for LUNC’s path forward

Summary

The next seven days may become one of the most consequential windows for the Terra Classic ecosystem in years. Do Kwon’s U.S. sentencing is imminent, multiple exchanges have already scheduled LUNC delistings, and macro-sentiment is heating up after Binance founder CZ resurfaced publicly with a bullish “more ATHs coming” message.

This article breaks down what’s happening, what it means for liquidity, how sentiment could shift, and what realistic scenarios exist for LUNC’s future.

1. Do Kwon Sentencing: The Legal Event That Will Shape Narrative

Do Kwon is expected to be sentenced in 7 days. Markets typically front-run this type of event, and the judgment will shape public perception and regulatory tone around everything connected to Terra.

A softer sentence may be interpreted as a final chapter closing. A harsher one would reinforce the narrative burden the community must overcome.

Either way — volatility and renewed media attention are guaranteed.

2. LUNC Delistings: Liquidity Compression Is Already in Motion

Key exchanges have published removal schedules:

Kraken – Trading & deposits disable Dec 12, 2025; withdrawals only afterward; liquidation Mar 1, 2026.

OKX – Delisted pairs Sept 29, 2025; withdrawals end Dec 22, 2025.

eToro – Full support ended Nov 4, 2025 after “close-only” mode.

WOO X / Zonda / others – Already removed spot, margin or wallet support.

This is not speculation — these are confirmed timelines, already affecting global liquidity corridors.

3. CZ’s “More ATHs Coming” Comment: Why It Actually Matters

Last week, CZ posted:

“I predict: many more ATHs coming soon. I just don't know exactly when. 🤷‍♂️😆”

At first glance, it looks playful — but the timing is significant:

CZ remains one of the most influential figures in crypto.

Even without leading Binance day-to-day, his sentiment still affects capital rotation.

Historically, early-cycle optimism from major figures accelerates liquidity returning to risk-on assets.

Why does this matter for LUNC?

Because LUNC’s challenge is not only technical — it’s narrative and liquidity re-entry. A more bullish macro environment increases:

Retail inflows

On-chain speculation

DEX activity

Burn-driving transaction volume

Willingness of market makers to re-provide depth

A rising tide does not lift all ships equally — but it does lift ships with active communities and working tokenomics.

LUNC qualifies.

4. Market Sentiment: Three Critical Shocks Colliding

⚠️ Sentencing Shock

Media coverage and legal commentary will create short-term turbulence.

⚠️ Liquidity Shock

Delistings reduce CEX depth, increasing volatility on remaining venues.

⚡ Sentiment Shock (CZ & macro)

Bullish macro signals can bring speculative liquidity back faster than expected — especially into high-beta assets.

The next 7–14 days will show which shock dominates.

5. Three Possible Market Scenarios

🟢 Bull Scenario – “Narrative Reset + Technical Momentum”

Sentencing is interpreted as closure

Macro turns more risk-on (boosted by CZ’s message)

L2 adoption and Market Module upgrades push on-chain volume

Burns accelerate from higher usage

Remaining exchanges gain deeper liquidity

Outcome: Sustainable recovery trend over weeks to months.

⚪ Neutral Scenario – “Volatility → Stabilization”

Mixed sentencing reaction

Delistings hurt liquidity but DEXs compensate partially

Market becomes range-bound

Burns continue but slower

Outcome: Consolidation for months, waiting on a catalyst.

🔴 Bear Scenario – “Compounded Negative Signals”

Harsh legal message

Additional regulatory scrutiny

Liquidity becomes thin

Transaction volume (and burns) drop sharply

Outcome: Long recovery timeline, reliant entirely on developer execution.

6. What Holders Should Watch This Week

This is where the next wave of volatility will come from:

✔ Sentencing commentary

The judge’s language about intent, responsibility and restitution matters more than the number of years.

✔ Exchange policy updates

Any new delisting notices or withdrawal freezes are major events.

✔ On-chain activity

Daily active addresses, swap volume, staking changes, burn totals.

✔ Market sentiment

Influential voices (like CZ’s post) can front-run liquidity flows in or out.

7. Practical Guidance

For Holders

Prefer self-custody due to future delisting schedules

Prepare for wider spreads on CEXs

Watch validator activity for signs of stress or consolidation

Avoid panic moves during sentencing headlines

For Traders

Use limit orders to avoid slippage

Monitor DEX depth — it will matter more

Expect volatility spikes during the sentencing hour

For Builders & Validators

Double down on UX, onboarding and chain stability

Strengthen DEX liquidity incentives

Communicate clearly during the sentencing news cycle

Accelerate integrations that drive burns via real usage

8. Why This Week Is an Opportunity

Terra Classic has already proven something rare in crypto: survival after collapse.

Now it faces:

A final legal chapter

A compressed liquidity landscape

A potential macro upswing

The communities that thrive in such moments are those that execute while others react.

The coming 7 days won’t decide LUNC’s destiny — but they will set the tone for 2025 and beyond.
