Galaxy Digital, headed by CEO Mike Novogratz, is engaging with <a href="https://crypto.news/galaxy-digital-market-making-prediction-markets-2025/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Polymarket</a> and <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news/novogratzs-galaxy-digital-in-prediction-market-talks" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Kalshi</a> to enhance liquidity. This entry marks a notable institutional presence in prediction markets. Both platforms aim to expand U.S. presence and improve market stability.
Novogratz's known advocacy for digital asset adoption aligns with these actions. Recent reports indicate Galaxy intends to act as a liquidity provider. These efforts could reshape the financial landscape of prediction markets significantly.
Liquidity enhancement from Galaxy Digital could tighten bid/ask spreads on <a href="https://coinness.com/id/news/1144008" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Polymarket and Kalshi</a>. Such moves are likely to increase institutional and retail engagement, as these platforms currently drive 97% of global volume.
The move also addresses historical liquidity issues in prediction markets, previously limited by regulatory complexities. Insights from expert statements suggest a significant increase in market efficiency and depth as Galaxy's involvement grows.
Kalshi recently secured a major funding round valuing it at $11 billion, adding substantial backing. Meanwhile, Polymarket's previous valuation challenges are now bolstered by significant institutional capital inflow.
This development follows recent U.S. regulatory changes, supporting growth in prediction markets. Historical trends show regulatory clarity often catalyzes broader market participation. As liquidity constraints shrink, Ethereum-based settlements on these platforms are poised for an influx of activity.
