Introducing Brevis and Pico
Brevis is making waves in the crypto space with its innovative products, Pico and zkProcessor. These tools are setting new industry benchmarks for zero-knowledge virtual machines and coprocessors. Let's dive into what makes them stand out.
Pico: A Modular and Performant zkVM
Pico is a zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkVM) offering unparalleled modularity and high efficiency. Its modular lego-like design allows developers to customize and optimize performance according to their application's computation characteristics. With options for proving backends like STARK on KoalaBear and BabyBear, as well as CircleSTARK on Mersenne 31, Pico ensures developers can tailor security, scalability, and proof generation to their needs. Pico's glue-and-coprocessor architecture boosts performance by 32X for applications utilizing historical blockchain data. Although a full GPU-accelerated solution isn't available yet, Pico achieves 70% to 155% faster performance on CPU than competitors like RISC0, SP1, and OpenVM.
zkProcessor: Efficient ZK Coprocessor
Brevis's zkProcessor empowers smart contracts to access and compute on full historical on-chain data trustlessly. This opens up exciting use cases in data-driven DeFi, user engagement, and active liquidity management. Integrating zkProcessor into your dApp is straightforward, requiring just three steps: data access, computation, and using results.
Partnerships and Adoption
Brevis's initial product, the on-chain data zkCoprocessor, is already widely adopted in DeFi. Partners like Kwenta, Usual, Algebra Labs, JoJo Exchange, and Trusta have launched Brevis-powered features on mainnet. Other top protocols such as PancakeSwap, Celer, and Quickswap are building next-gen products using Brevis technology.
The Future of Brevis
Brevis is poised to redefine zero-knowledge technology with its modular solutions. By focusing on adaptability and performance, Brevis is enabling developers to leverage the latest advancements in ZK technology and drive innovation in their applications.
