The cryptocurrency market is buzzing with excitement as Internet Computer (ICP) shows signs of a potential breakout, according to a recent analysis by Crypto Tony on X. The latest chart update highlights a critical weekly close above $6.70, which could trigger significant upward momentum for ICP/USD.

This level, marked on a weekly candlestick chart, has been a key resistance point, and a successful close above it is being hailed as “showtime” by traders and enthusiasts alike. The chart, spanning from 2024 to 2025, reveals a volatile journey with a sharp recent uptick, suggesting growing investor confidence.

ICP is trading at $7.63, reflecting a 64.85% surge over the past week. This rally has sparked optimism, with some predicting a climb to $12 in the coming days. The breakout above $6.70 is seen as a major technical signal, indicating strength and potentially paving the way for higher targets like $7.80, based on Fibonacci extension levels. However, traders are cautioned to watch for support at $5.48, with a drop below this level possibly leading to a retracement toward $4.80.

The buzz on X reflects a mix of excitement and speculation, with users like Trevor.icp and Super Degen Crypto echoing the bullish sentiment. The weekly close, typically calculated at 23:59 UTC on Sunday, will be a decisive moment. If ICP holds above $6.70, it could solidify its upward trend, driven by narrative-driven buying around AI and cross-chain innovations from the Dfinity Foundation.

Investors are advised to monitor intraday volatility and profit-taking, which could influence short-term movements. The weekend approaches, all eyes are on ICP to see if it can maintain this momentum and deliver on the high expectations set by the crypto community.
