The Tron network is experiencing extremely high activity levels since more people are choosing quick and transparent transactions on this blockchain these days. On TRONSCAN, data shows that last week the number of active addresses exceeded 5.7 million, which is a record for the network in the entire history of the blockchain.
Tron Network Activity Reaches New Heights
The number of unique daily wallets using Tron reached a new record of 5.7 million on the 28th of October, surpassing the previous day's figure of 5.4 million. During the same period, more than 12.6 million transactions were processed, the highest single-day figure since mid-2023.
Data from Nansen shows that the number of active Tron addresses grew by 69% in just one week, outperforming all other major blockchains. Nansen summed up this trend simply: “No headlines. No hype. Just raw throughput”. This tweet illustrates Tron's current status as a network that prioritizes efficiency and consistent performance over public attention.
Tron has been known for years as a network that prioritizes usability and accessibility. Its approach works effectively for regular, high-volume transactions, particularly in areas where Ethereum or Bitcoin costs are prohibitively high. This commitment to efficiency continues to attract millions of users making small, straightforward transfers.
The Impact of Retail Stablecoin Growth on Tron
According to CoinGecko, USDT is still the most popular stablecoin as of the beginning of November, with a market value of about $135 billion, or nearly 60% of the whole stablecoin market. Notably, the majority of USDT—more than $83 billion—is kept on Ethereum, with Tron coming in second with $78.7 billion.
The contrast is evident as a result. It demonstrates that while Ethereum is still well-liked for DeFi and institutional activity, people trust Tron for stablecoin transactions. Ethereum leads in innovation and institutional development, while Tron is easier to use for everyday users.
USDT on Tron Is Becoming a Global Standard
Tron's growth is largely driven by USDT, as the network regularly processes between 15 and 20 million Tether transfers per week. This makes USDT on Tron one of the most popular tools for cryptocurrency payments.
The reason for this popularity is easy to explain: Tron offers rapid and inexpensive transfers using a token pegged to the US dollar. For instance, USDT on Tron is a useful method of storing and sending money in areas like Africa, Asia, and South America, where banking services are scarce and inflation is strong. Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, spoke about the global trend of stablecoins, recently noting that USDT has reached 500 million users worldwide. He called this figure an important achievement in the field of financial accessibility.
How Does This Affect the Market as a Whole?
The current Tron activities suggest that the use of cryptocurrencies is changing globally. Reliability is clearly preferred by users, as evidenced by the consistent increase of stablecoin transactions on Tron. If this trend continues, Tron could become a key platform for stablecoin payments worldwide.
