The NEAR Protocol price has been quietly building momentum over the past few months, but the latest numbers are making people sit up. Trading volume jumped from $24M in March to $1.7B in October, a massive growth spurt that signals something bigger is forming beneath the surface.
That kind of acceleration doesn’t come from speculation alone. It reflects more users relying on NEAR-based apps and more capital flowing across the network each month.

This is happening while investor attention is broadening beyond Layer-1 giants like Ethereum and Solana. NEAR’s focus on easy onboarding and fast transaction settlement seems to be paying off at a time when users care more about low-friction apps than buzzwords.

The ecosystem developments are lining up too. THORWallet just integrated NEAR Intents, giving users fast cross-chain swaps across Solana, Sui, Bitcoin, and dozens of networks without relying on wrapped assets. This upgrade fits directly into NEAR Protocol’s mission to act as an intent-driven, chain-agnostic liquidity layer.
Meanwhile, Zcash now shields a huge portion of its supply via NEAR, using NEAR’s infrastructure to enable private asset movement between chains. It’s a clever showcase of NEAR’s technical flexibility, even if privacy-related scrutiny could occasionally slow things down.
Add in the recent reduction in validator emissions, and NEAR now has a cleaner supply schedule that should help price stability long-term.

Analyst FOUR highlights something even more interesting. The NEAR price has spent months sitting inside a tight accumulation zone, holding firm while volatility punished many other assets.
That kind of sideways compression usually resolves with a powerful move once buyers and sellers push price out of balance.
On the NEAR chart, the message is clear. Consolidation is happening directly below a major resistance area. If NEAR price breaks above this range, the expansion phase could take it back toward previous highs. That’s the trade idea accumulate in the box, target the red zone above.

NEAR Protocol Is Close to Proving Its Case

NEAR doesn’t need to reinvent itself here. It just needs to keep scaling usage the way it has been.
People are already paying attention to the growth. Developers are steadily testing what the network can do. And technically, the NEAR price structure is exactly where long-term traders like it.
If volume keeps on climbing and ecosystem traction continues, NEAR will not be in accumulation for much longer. The next move could very well be the one that reminds the market of how fast strong fundamentals can actually convert into price momentum.
