Prediction markets allow users to buy and sell contracts based on the likelihood of a future event — similar to how investors trade stocks based on expectations. Traditionally, these platforms have focused on politics, sports, or economic indicators. Now, Hollywood.com and Crypto.com are introducing that same excitement to the entertainment industry.

“Entertainment fans are some of the most passionate consumers,” said Travis McGhee, Managing Director at Crypto.com. “We’re giving them a new, legal prediction market tailored just for them.”

Through Hollywood.com’s platform, users can participate in real-time markets tied to Hollywood movies, Broadway shows, television, video games, or major award ceremonies. Prices on these contracts will update instantly as public sentiment and industry news shift, allowing traders to express their opinions on what they believe will happen next.

Hollywood.com’s Co-CEO Mitchell Rubenstein called the partnership a “first-of-its-kind platform” that brings fans closer to the stories and stars they love. He described it as a space where users can predict outcomes in pop culture, from who wins an Oscar to which series tops the streaming charts.
