Aster (ASTER) experienced sharp volatility today as its price fell 5.88% in the past hour after a strong 24-hour gain. The token traded at $1.08, maintaining a 10.52% daily rise amid intense market activity. However, the sudden decline reflected heavy selling pressure triggered by major wallet movements and renewed market skepticism.

Aster (ASTER) faced turbulence after Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) sold 35 million tokens worth approximately $37 million on November 2. His exit reversed a previous bullish stance, leading top 100 wallets to unload 35.6 million tokens soon after. Consequently, Aster (ASTER) saw increased volatility as profit-taking and fear-based trading reshaped market sentiment.

Moreover, the lack of any holding restrictions enabled swift liquidation across major addresses, accelerating the downward movement. The price, which peaked at $1.30 earlier, quickly retraced as traders shifted focus to upcoming liquidity events. However, analysts noted that any stabilization around $1.08 may signal short-term consolidation within a high-volume environment.

Aster (ASTER) continued to face uncertainty due to token supply concerns and potential dilution risks. Its circulating supply reached 2.02 billion, nearly 25% of the total 8 billion tokens. As large allocations remained locked, expectations of future releases raised doubts about near-term price sustainability.
Additionally, upcoming airdrop distributions tied to buyback programs have added to market pressure. While designed to reward long-term participants, these mechanisms increased speculation about further supply inflow. Consequently, Aster (ASTER) may encounter heightened selling momentum unless demand absorbs new liquidity efficiently.

Aster (ASTER) reported $70 billion in weekly volume, but data reliability raised transparency concerns. DefiLlama briefly removed related figures, citing inconsistencies with major exchange metrics. This development intensified discussions about potential overstatement of trading activity.
Nevertheless, Aster (ASTER) maintained momentum through integration with Coinbase’s x402 protocol, enhancing cross-platform liquidity access. While the move may boost network activity, skepticism persists over the sustainability of reported metrics. As the 50-day moving average near $1.32 remains a resistance point, market attention stays fixed on upcoming data validations.
