According to CZ, the goal of these attacks is usually to defraud users by sharing fake smart contract addresses.

CZ noted that many social media accounts have weak security measures, which is why attackers hijack these accounts and use them to deceive the crypto community.
Zhao also emphasized that official accounts do not endorse any particular memecoin and warned users to be careful.
The recent increase in interest in meme coin projects has led to an increase in fraud cases and social engineering attacks.
Experts advise users to follow only official announcements from verified sources and conduct careful due diligence before investing in any token or contract address.
