Worldcoin has been trading in a downward pattern since last month. Things grew worse when the price fell by over 70% yesterday alone. This came as the whole market experienced a major liquidation. However, an analyst thinks there are specific reasons that are peculiar to the WLD token.

Crypto analyst noncler on X said the fall didn’t come from panic or rumors. It came from a deeper problem that had been growing for months. He explained what caused the crash and what it needs to rise again.

Why Worldcoin Price Collapsed So Fast

noncler explained that the problem started with how fast new tokens entered circulation. Worldcoin has a total supply of 10B tokens. More than 2.1B are already circulating, and new unlocks keep flooding the market. When supply grows faster than real adoption, prices almost always fall.

He described it simply: “When supply accelerates faster than adoption, price gravity wins every time.” The more tokens that hit the market without enough buyers or demand, the heavier the price becomes.

The illusion of growth made things worse. As circulation increased, the market cap looked bigger on paper, even though the token itself was losing value. It wasn’t real expansion it was silent dilution.

The Point Where the WLD Token Lost Its Balance

noncler pointed out that the real turning point came once circulation crossed 2B tokens. That moment changed the math completely. More tokens meant less scarcity, which reduced the token’s natural support.

Traders finally accepted what the charts had been hinting at too much supply and not enough flow. The market corrected itself, and WLD price began to slide rapidly.

While supply was exploding, demand stayed weak. noncler shared that World App has about 16M verified users, yet there are over 2.1B circulating tokens. That’s more than 400 WLD per verified user.

Without strong DeFi use cases or major integrations, there’s simply not enough demand to soak up all those tokens. The project’s ecosystem hasn’t expanded fast enough to match its token emissions.

How Token Unlocks Added More Pressure

noncler described the token unlock schedule as “front-loaded.” This means large batches of tokens especially those allocated to early investors and team members are released in heavy waves.

Each unlock adds more tokens to the market. With no strong buy pressure or new utilities, every wave pushes the price lower. Instead of rewarding participation, the emission structure keeps punishing holders.

What Worldcoin Needs To Recover

According to noncler, recovery is still possible but it depends on utility. WLD token needs real sinks that create demand and lock up supply. He suggested several key steps:

Staking within the World App could help absorb some tokens. On-chain identity integrations could expand the project’s use cases. Partnerships with institutions that use World ID could also build lasting demand.

Until these changes happen, the WLD token faces a tug-of-war between free-falling supply and fading demand.

noncler summed it up clearly: “This crash wasn’t random it was structural.” You can’t inflate identity and tokens at the same time without balance. The system breaks when one grows faster than the other.

The path to recovery lies in building real utility that gives the token purpose beyond speculation. Worldcoin has a powerful idea behind it, but unless it creates meaningful use for its token, every future rally could fade just like this one.
