The excitement around Kaspa once felt unstoppable. Talk of a potential $1 target and even dreams of $10 filled the air through 2024. Despite all the hype, Kaspa price has done the opposite of what most hoped for. It has gone quiet.

Between December 2023 to February 2025, KAS price consolidated within the range of $0.07 and $0.2 without much movement. Now it trades between $0.05 and $0.13. The new smart contract launch in August brought attention again, but the price still shows no real progress.

So what happened to all that optimism? Why hasn’t Kaspa lived up to the hype?

Market Frustration Grows as Kaspa Price Stalls

Investors expected Kaspa’s smart contract launch to change the story, but the market’s reaction has been muted. Holders who believed the upgrade would trigger a major breakout are now watching the same sideways movement they’ve seen for months.

A crypto analyst from money and I YouTube channel, captured this frustration perfectly. He opened his latest video with a simple question: “Is it becoming more and more difficult to hold on to your Kaspa bags?” He explained how discouraging it feels to see other coins, especially Binance-related tokens, running wild while Kaspa price remains stuck.

Still, he made it clear he’s not selling. He’s holding Kaspa for the long term, even while other coins in his portfolio bring profits. His message was about patience and conviction, two traits many investors seem to be running out of.

The Analyst’s Take: History Might Be Repeating Itself

The commentator compared Kaspa’s current situation to Bitcoin’s 2017 crash. Bitcoin price dropped to around $20,000, It dropped again to $3,000, and most people thought it was over but a few years later, it rallied all the way to $69,000.

True believers build through the lows, not during the highs. He argued that KAS might be going through a similar phase. Projects take time, and communities often underestimate how long real progress takes to reflect in price. According to him, those who truly understand Kaspa’s fundamentals might one day look back at this period as an accumulation phase, not a collapse.

Still, he warned viewers not to chase trends. The market rotates fast. One week it’s Binance meme coins, another week something entirely different. Instead, he advised holding coins you genuinely understand and believe in.

Kaspa’s Price Action Still Looks Weak

KAS price currently trades around $0.07 with a market cap near $1.97 billion. Over the year, the token has dropped about 44%, which naturally shakes investor confidence. Analysts tracking the charts have noticed persistent bearish signals since early October, suggesting that Kaspa’s momentum remains under pressure.

The support around $0.05 has become critical. A breakdown below that could drag the price even lower. Despite this risk, the analyst continues to stay calm. He believes selling during this kind of sentiment-driven downturn often leads to regret later. His focus remains on patience, conviction, and diversification, holding Kaspa while earning elsewhere.

Lessons From the Kaspa Community

Even as prices fall, the Kaspa community hasn’t disappeared. Developers keep building, and many long-term holders continue to show up online. The analyst from Money and I praised this persistence, saying it mirrors the early days of other successful crypto projects.

He said it’s important to keep an open mind, even when people criticize. Many investors only watch the price and ignore the technology or long-term value. He believes the best way to survive crypto’s ups and downs is to ignore the noise but stay open to new ideas.

So, Should You Sell Kaspa?

Kaspa’s story right now is one of faith versus fatigue. The fundamentals look promising, yet the chart says otherwise. Holders are stuck in the middle, wondering whether to wait or walk away.

According to the analyst, the worst decision could be selling out of frustration only to regret it later. He plans to keep holding, confident that the project’s vision will eventually pay off.

Even though expectations remain high, Kaspa’s price performance has been disappointing. Whether to sell or stay depends entirely on belief. Those who still trust the project’s long-term potential might keep holding. Those who have lost conviction already know their answer.
