In an era when artificial intelligence and blockchain are converging, a new class of infrastructure is needed, one that can not only store data or execute transactions, but also support on-chain AI workloads: model inference, verifiable training, data pipelines, and more. This is where $0G (Zero Gravity / 0G Labs) aspires to play a foundational role.
Rather than treating AI and blockchain as separate layers, 0G aims to build a decentralized AI operating system (dAIOS) - a modular Layer 1 chain with built-in storage, data availability, compute, inference, and governance, all architected from the ground up for trustless, scalable, composable AI on-chain.
What is 0G ?
0G (Zero Gravity) is the first decentralized AI L1 chain that orchestrates hardware resources (storage, compute) and software assets (data, models) to handle AI workloads at scale. It bridges the gap between Web2 AI capabilities and Web3 decentralization.
Because AI-related workloads (large datasets, inference, frequent access, high throughput) strain traditional blockchains, 0G aims to offer modular services: storage, compute, data availability, and chain execution.
0G wants to serve as the infrastructure layer for on-chain AI, the rails on which applications constructing AI agents, models, and data pipelines can reliably run.
How it works?
0G provides four independent services that solve different pieces of the AI + blockchain puzzle:

Storage - Where to keep massive AI datasets

Compute - How to run AI models economically

Chain - Where to execute AI transactions quickly

Data Availability - How to ensure data is always accessible

Architecture & Key Components

0G Chain - The blockchain execution and consensus layer; handles smart contracts, transactions, and integrates with the other modules.

Storage - A decentralized storage network optimized for AI data (e.g. datasets, models), designed for permanence, redundancy, and cost efficiency.

Data Availability (DA) - A scalable DA layer ensures data is accessible and verifiable, which is critical when AI workflows require frequent data reads / writes.

Compute / Serving - A network of nodes that perform inference, possibly training, model serving, or execution of AI agents, with verifiability and incentives.

Team Michael Heinrich (CEO & Co-Founder) - He is a serial entrepreneur with experience building companies like Garten, which scaled to hundreds of millions in revenue, and has worked at leading firms including Microsoft, SAP, Bain & Co., and Bridgewater Associates. At 0G, he is focused on developing a decentralized AI operating system and modular AI-native blockchain. Ming Wu ( Co-Founder & CTO ) - He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture, was a senior researcher at Microsoft Research Asia, and previously served as CTO of Conflux Network, bringing deep expertise in distributed systems and AI platforms.
Tokenomics
The token (0G) has a total supply of 1 billion tokens.
