Solstice Finance, backed by prominent financial firms and crypto veterans, launched the Solana-native stablecoin USX and YieldVault on September 30, 2025, tackling cross-chain capital flow challenges.
The launch addresses Solana's liquidity issues, potentially shifting market dynamics and attracting significant institutional interest, as indicated by the initial $160 million TVL and strategic backing.
Solstice Finance has officially launched the <a href="https://solstice.finance/usx" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">USX Solana-native stablecoin</a> and <a href="https://solstice.finance/yieldvault" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">YieldVault</a> with an initial $160 million in total value locked. This major event marks a strategic effort to solidify Solana's position in the DeFi sector.
The launch on September 30, 2025, saw backing from significant players like Galaxy Digital. Solstice Finance aims to offer composable, on-chain yield-bearing dollars for institutions and retailers, addressing Solana's cross-chain capital flows.

"Legacy stablecoins lack native Solana features. USX is purpose-built to close this gap, giving institutions and retail access to composable, on-chain, yield-bearing dollars for the first time." - Ben Nadareski, CEO and Co-Founder, Solstice Finance

The launch is expected to have immediate effects on Solana's liquidity and DeFi mechanics. Industry insiders point to this as a pivotal moment in strengthening on-chain revenues and stability for Solana-based applications.
The introduction of USX seeks to stabilize Solana's TVL, with expectations to increase the network's liquidity share and capital retention. The focus lies on composability and transparency, meeting market demands for reliable stablecoin solutions.
Historically, innovations like Curve USD on Ethereum have similarly energized DeFi spaces. Solstice looks to echo this impact by becoming a sustainable and compliant choice for yield strategies on Solana.
Experts anticipate potential regulatory and market outcomes, considering historical precedents like MakerDAO DAI. The introduction of USX, supported by real-time proof of reserves, may attract institutional and retail attention, promoting Solana's DeFi ecosystem.
