Gate, a global leader in digital asset trading, has officially launched Gate Perp DEX, a decentralized perpetual exchange independently developed and built on its high-performance Layer 2 network, Gate Layer. As a core milestone under Gate's "All in Web3" strategy, Gate Perp DEX is positioned around superior liquidity, aiming to deliver a fast, transparent, and secure decentralized derivatives trading experience to users worldwide.
Compared with traditional DEXs, Gate Perp DEX introduces comprehensive upgrades in both performance and functionality. The platform integrates a high-performance matching engine that supports high-concurrency processing and low-latency trading, ensuring stable execution even during extreme market volatility. Users can start trading simply by connecting their wallets, delivering a true "connect-to-trade" experience. The platform also supports multi-chain compatibility, enabling deposits and withdrawals across Solana, Ethereum, BSC, Base, and more, while leveraging the LayerZero protocol for cross-chain communication.
On the trading side, Gate Perp DEX currently supports up to 447 markets, covering both mainstream and long-tail assets, along with a diverse set of strategies and flexible margin modes. Users can choose between one-way or two-way positions, toggle between cross-margin and isolated margin, and execute trades with various order types, including limit, market, stop-loss, take-profit, conditional, and iceberg orders. Leverage settings mirror Gate's centralized platform, with BTC and ETH perpetual markets supporting up to 125x leverage, providing professional traders with greater flexibility and strategic depth. The order book model further narrows spreads, improves capital efficiency, and enhances liquidity depth, offering a near-CEX trading experience.
Fund security and risk management are key strengths of the platform. Gate Perp DEX is designed with an on-chain ledger, ensuring every order and asset movement can be verified in real time. All order data and asset changes are recorded on-chain, secured by audited smart contracts, and safeguarded with LayerZero-powered cross-chain communication and a Vault auto-balancing mechanism. This design combines transparency with robust security, reinforcing user trust.
Gate Perp DEX also emphasizes long-term community and trader incentives. It has built a rebate and points system to encourage users to benefit from trading and ecosystem participation, fostering sustainable value circulation in the decentralized ecosystem. The platform entered public beta from September 29 to October 22, 2025, offering multiple incentives, including first-time trading rewards, leaderboard competitions, and feedback bonuses, with individual rewards up to 500 GT airdropped. Through a combination of incentive programs and community engagement, users not only gain direct rewards but also contribute to the platform’s ongoing evolution.
As a top-tier exchange established in 2013, Gate has built a solid foundation in compliance, security, and a diverse product ecosystem. With its self-developed, high-performance Layer 2 network, Gate Layer, it provides scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure for decentralized applications. The launch of Gate Perp DEX marks a pivotal execution of its "All in Web3" strategy, driving the decentralized derivatives market toward greater professionalism and systemization. Looking ahead, Gate will continue to integrate infrastructure with applications, accelerating the evolution of crypto finance into a new era of efficiency, transparency, and inclusivity.
