Changpeng Zhao, founder of YZi Labs and former CEO of Binance, clarified his role with Aster, the decentralized exchange. He mentioned on the X platform that his involvement is strictly as an advisor on product and technology, pointing out he is not a part of the core team. This includes several former Binance employees working within Aster.

Zhao revealed that YZi Labs holds a minority stake in Aster, underscoring his indirect connection. The exchange has registered a significant increase in its trading volumes, similar to prior Binance Chain integrations, contributing to the BNB Chain's ecosystem. Such collaborations have prompted speculation about whether Aster could emerge as a formidable competitor to Binance.
