SoftBank and Ark Invest are reportedly in discussions to participate in Tether's $15–20 billion funding round, though no official confirmation is available from the involved parties.

Without official confirmation, market implications remain speculative, but a successful round could make headlines as the largest primary capital raise by a stablecoin issuer.

SoftBank & Ark's Funding Talks

Reports indicate SoftBank and Ark Invest are discussing joining Tether's funding round. The rumored valuation could reach $100 billion to $500 billion. No official statements confirm this, and industry players remain silent on social media.

Market Sentiments & Leadership Comments

No official communication from Tether, SoftBank, or Ark Invest confirms negotiations. Tether's CEO Paolo Ardoino, SoftBank's Masayoshi Son, and Ark's Cathie Wood have not addressed the funding discussions publicly. Lack of official data maintains market ambiguity. As noted by Tether CEO, Paolo Ardoino:

"Tether’s issuance and its role within the crypto market continues to evolve, yet no official announcements regarding new funding rounds have been made."

Potential Global Impact

If confirmed, this could be the largest funding round by a stablecoin issuer. The broader crypto market might see increased liquidity. Stablecoin USD Tether (USDT) plays a significant role in crypto market stability and liquidity impacts. SoftBank could enhance its reputation via Tether's global impact. For Ark Invest, entry aligns with its crypto investment strategy. Broader industry metrics such as DeFi Total Value Locked (TVL) could experience shifts pending confirmation.

Market Dynamics & Strategic Alignments

No current transaction data confirms major institutional inflows to Tether's wallets. Prospective participants may influence cryptocurrency price and liquidity dynamics. Involvement aligns with SoftBank's payment sector interests and Ark's continued crypto exposure strategy. The historical precedent suggests USDT surges can affect Bitcoin and Ethereum volatility. Analysis of funding patterns shows strategic partnerships often drive technological innovations and market interest. Future regulatory evaluations may pivot on confirmed stakeholder involvement.
