TokenWorks, the team behind the NFT strategy investment mechanism, is gaining attention and aims to inject fresh energy into the NFT market. This comes at a time when the NFT market is recovering from a steep downturn, but new NFT projects are beginning to attract back investor interest. TokenWorks has launched its new NFT investment strategy at a time when investors have slightly shifted attention from crypto and NFTs to new tokens like $ASTER.
By description, NFTStrategy is a decentralized finance (DeFi) mechanism designed to increase the value and activity of a specific non-fungible token collection. It achieves this through a self-sustaining, perpetual loop that uses trading fees to buy and “burn” strategy tokens, which in turn reduces their supply. In simpler terms, TokenWorks’ NFT strategy is an innovative automated protocol designed to facilitate the continuous engagement and trading of NFTs.
TokenWorks launched its NFT strategy last week. It started with Pun Strategy, an automated on-chain investment protocol that uses transaction fees from its utility token “$PNKSTR” to acquire high-value CryptoPunks, the leading NFT collection by market capitalization. The NFT protocol operated as a “perpetual punk machine” and innovatively blended the decentralized finance (DeFi) and NFTs.
PunkStrategy started as an art project and turned into a whole new token meta. It was bound to be forked, and the team felt like they should have created a way to launch their own while still being permissionless and safe for buyers. In the NFTStrategy mechanism, every ERC721 NFT collection can have a single NFTStrategy token deployed for it (1 to 1). The TokenWorks started by $PUNKSTR for PunkStrategy.
The NFT protocol draws fees from trades and uses them to buy NFT collections, and relists them at 1.2x. After the NFT collection sells, all of the ETH is used to buy and burn that NFTStrategy token. This continues forever. Right now, the $PNKSTR has a 10% trading fee, with 8% going to the NFT accumulation pool, 1% to TokenWorks supporters, and 1% to the TokenWorks NFT team. NFTStrategy tokens will have a slightly different fee structure.

Even though the NFT strategy previously stirred a heated debate on X (formerly Twitter) over its future, this investment mechanism has gained a warm reception, pushing TokenWorks to add more NFTs. Earlier this week, TokenWorks added $APESTR, for the Bored Ape Yacht Club, $PUDGYSTR, for the Pudgy Penguins, $DICKSTR, for Dickbutts and $BIRBSTR, for the NFT collection, Moonbirds.

Ser, 2.5% of supply is already burned. Will the burn rate be adjusted since it feels very fast? What happens down the line when burning reduces liquidity and tokens are concentrated in a few hands? What’s the plan for that stage?

Earlier today, TokenWorks announced plans to add Goblintown, an Ethereum-based NFT project launched in 2022, known for its collection of 10,000 unique, grotesque goblin-themed digital assets; CrypToadz, a collection of 6,969 unique, randomly generated, pixelated frog-like creatures created by digital artist Gremplin, which serve as NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain; and Good Vibed Club NFT collection, into its NFT strategy.
TokenWorks has revealed that the deployments will be made open to any owner of an NFT collection in the coming months. Later, deployments will be open for anyone for a fee. Each token will launch at a starting market capitalization of $50,000, with all of the tokens added to the initial LP. For public launches, the NFT Strategy deployer will also get 1% of the token included in the deploy fee. To deter snipers, buy fees will start at 95% and decrease by 1% each minute and eventually rest at 10%.
