Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin now serves as a liquidity bridge for BlackRock's BUIDL Fund and VanEck's VBILL tokenized treasury products. This partnership utilizes Securitize's platform enabling direct asset swaps, enhancing liquidity and compliant DeFi integration.
Ripple and Securitize have partnered to integrate the RLUSD stablecoin, facilitating tokenized fund swaps for BlackRock and VanEck.
The collaboration creates a vital liquidity bridge between traditional finance and on-chain DeFi, boosting stablecoin utility.
Ripple has joined forces with Securitize to integrate RLUSD stablecoin, enabling investors in BlackRock’s BUIDL and VanEck’s VBILL products to swap holdings directly. The move enhances liquidity between traditional financial assets and crypto ecosystems. Ripple's leadership, including Brad Garlinghouse and Jack McDonald, emphasized RLUSD's institutional focus and regulatory clarity. These efforts aim to bridge traditional finance and crypto through the stablecoin's new utility and integrated infrastructure.

The partnership impacts DeFi protocols by introducing continuous liquidity and utility for RLUSD, likely affecting Total Value Locked (TVL) metrics across DeFi landscapes. Additionally, this encourages future stablecoin integrations in financial products, fostering deeper TradFi and blockchain collaboration. Potential regulatory outcomes will include enhanced stablecoin oversight and transparency, as RLUSD operates under a financial services charter with reserve verifications. Past tokenization events, similar to those by Franklin Templeton, have shown favorable increases in liquidity and governance complexity, signaling promising horizons for RLUSD's increased adoption. Read original article on coinlineup.com
