Internet Computer

Every now and then, a crypto project aims for something much bigger than payments, DeFi, or NFTs. Internet Computer (ICP) is one of those rare projects.

Instead of just powering apps or financial tools, ICP wants to rebuild the internet itself. If you’re holding 1,842 ICP, you’re probably curious where that investment could be in a couple of years. Let’s break it down together.

At the time of the video, ICP price trades around $4.7, giving it a market cap of about $2.5 billion and a circulating supply a bit over 530 million tokens.

That means your 1,842 ICP are worth roughly $8,600 today. But of course, crypto is rarely about where things are, it’s about where they could go.

Why Internet Computer Is Different

Most blockchains focus on finance or gaming. ICP is built for something bigger: decentralizing the very internet we use every day. Instead of apps and websites sitting on servers owned by Amazon, Google, or Microsoft, developers can deploy directly on ICP.

These apps live in special smart contracts called canisters, which scale like cloud servers but stay fully decentralized.

ICP also runs on the Network Nervous System (NNS). Holders can lock up tokens to create “neurons,” which vote on upgrades and rules for the network. This not only keeps the network community-driven but also rewards long-term holding, reducing sell pressure over time.

This isn’t just talk. ICP already hosts decentralized social networks, fully on-chain websites, and blockchain-based business tools running at web speed.

In 2025 developers have been steadily applying for grants, launching apps, and adding infrastructure. Thanks to subnets that expand capacity as demand grows, the network can scale without slowing down, something many blockchains struggle to do.

Internet Computer Price Scenarios for 2026

Here’s where it gets interesting. If ICP’s market cap simply doubles to $5 billion, the price could move near $9. A rise to $10–15 billion could push it into the $18–$27 range. At that level, your 1,842 ICP would be worth around $33,000 to $50,000.

If the project really takes off and starts powering a big slice of decentralized internet infrastructure, a $50 billion market cap isn’t out of the question. That would put ICP price above $90 per token and make your holdings worth over $165,000.

Of course, there are hurdles. Convincing developers to leave Ethereum or Solana isn’t easy, and asking companies to move away from cloud giants like Amazon or Google is even tougher. Some critics also question whether ICP is as decentralized as it aims to be.

Final Thoughts

Right now, your 1,842 ICP are worth about $8,600. With moderate growth, they could double or triple by 2026.

If adoption really picks up, they could be worth tens of thousands, and in the most optimistic case, if Internet Computer becomes the backbone of a new, decentralized internet, they could top $100,000.

Nothing is guaranteed in crypto, and ICP price has already seen big highs and lows. But its vision is unique. If that vision keeps gaining traction, the value of your tokens a couple of years from now could look very different from what you see today.
