XRP ETF

A tweet from crypto enthusiast JackTheRippler has drawn attention to comments made by BlackRock CEO Larry Fink during an interview that touched on the possibility of a spot XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF).
The video attached to the tweet showed the interviewer asking Fink directly whether BlackRock would consider launching another ETF, specifically mentioning XRP. The interviewer noted that the firm already has an Ethereum ETF approved and proceeded to ask, “How about XRP? Can you answer that?”
In response, Fink said, “I can’t.” He smiled while answering, but did not provide further clarification. While the comment was brief and non-committal, the lack of a direct denial has drawn speculation about whether BlackRock is considering such a product.

The video shared in the tweet also included a separate interview segment featuring Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. In that exchange, Garlinghouse was asked if Ripple was in talks with large issuers, specifically BlackRock, regarding an ETF. He responded, “Well, I’m not going to comment on that.”
Garlinghouse then acknowledged that BlackRock had made some public statements on the matter but stopped short of offering specifics. He added, “We think it makes sense for the XRP community overall.” His statement did not confirm any developments but indicated that Ripple views the prospect of such an ETF positively if it were to materialize.

Following the video, several X users commented on the potential implications. One user, Tgully, remarked, “1700 NDA’s baby,” referencing the large number of reported non-disclosure agreements Ripple has engaged in over the years. Another user, identified as Crypto boy, reacted by saying, “It is coming. Let’s gooo,” expressing optimism about the possibility of a spot XRP ETF being introduced.
The reactions suggest that a portion of the online community is interpreting both Fink’s and Garlinghouse’s refusal to give direct answers as a signal that discussions may be ongoing behind the scenes. However, neither BlackRock nor Ripple has confirmed any official steps toward launching such a financial product.

BlackRock has played a central role in the approval of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in the United States, helping pave the way for broader institutional participation in digital assets. The possibility of expanding this model to include other cryptocurrencies, including XRP, has been a recurring topic among market participants.

While the video clips do not provide definitive evidence of BlackRock’s plans, they have reinforced ongoing speculation that the firm could eventually consider XRP as part of its ETF lineup. For now, the statements remain inconclusive, but they continue to fuel attention around whether an XRP ETF may eventually emerge as part of the growing digital asset investment landscape.
