"Bluefin Pro brings institutional-grade high-frequency trading to DeFi on Sui—setting a new bar for decentralized execution quality." — Bluefin Team, Development Team, Bluefin
Bluefin, founded by the Jawaid brothers in 2020, has integrated high-frequency trading on Sui to enhance institutional trading. Previously on Arbitrum, it transitioned to Sui in September 2023 for improved performance.
The launch benefits Sui's network, bolstering institutional-grade trading capabilities. Bluefin Pro will enhance trader experiences using fast finality and increased scalability, significantly impacting institutional interest in DeFi.
Bluefin's move to Sui impacts liquidity, focusing on institutional opportunities. The platform reported $43 billion in trading volume since its 2023 debut, highlighting the potential market influence of this expansion.
This strategic shift enhances trading quality, aligning Bluefin with broader DeFi trends. The introduction of yield mechanisms such as Bluefin Vaults, which facilitate user rewards, supports this ecosystem transition.
High-frequency trading faces unique challenges in DeFi due to blockchain latency. Bluefin's latest upgrade aims to address these concerns on Sui, potentially driving interest and activity in the ecosystem while bolstering supported tokens like BLUE and SUI.
