Web3 project Evermoon has officially rebranded as Evermoon Games, evolving from a MOBA into a full-fledged gaming and entertainment studio. The new ecosystem includes live casual games, AI-generated VTubers, a community quest platform, and an upcoming token — all built on Sony’s Layer-2 blockchain Soneium.
The $EVM token will serve as the studio’s core utility and rewards asset, used for in-game purchases, marketplace activity, and progression across multiple titles. The token is tied to actual product revenue and will launch alongside airdrops and a planned centralized exchange listing.
Early live titles like Axolt’s Escape and upcoming games such as Cat vs Cucumber reflect the studio’s pivot toward lighter, scalable content while its competitive 5v5 MOBA continues development. Players can also complete quests through the Moon Mission hub, with support from Astar Network’s $ASTR token.
Astar Network itself has received a strategic investment from Animoca Brands, boosting its position as a hub for onchain entertainment IP. The partnership supports initiatives like Anime ID and Anime Art Fest, focused on onboarding and creator tooling — developments that benefit platforms like Evermoon Games.
The ecosystem runs on Soneium, Sony’s Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain built on the OP Stack. Designed for entertainment use cases, Soneium offers low-cost transactions, fast execution, and NFT support, making it well-suited for scalable game development.
The $EVM token is not yet live, but airdrop eligibility and launch details will be shared via Evermoon’s official channels.
