TOMI’s new features allow creators to get paid directly from their followers with the new chat experience that removes middlemen
May 19, 2025 — TOMI, the Web3 infrastructure project building a user-centric digital ecosystem, introduces simple ways for creators to make money through its soon-to-launch super app. These new features allow creators to receive payments directly from their audience without needing other platforms or services. The TOMI SuperApp combines messaging with payments in one place.
Decentralized apps (dApps) have largely been one-trick ponies where users can’t truly engage with crypto and communities in a meaningful way. While this way worked during previous bull runs, the growth of Web3 means users expect more than just one function for each dApp. Building a dApp that won’t expand into a full ecosystem around payments, social features, identity, and even gaming or NFTs won’t last.
With these new features to the TOMI app, creators can now charge for premium content, locking specific messages or media behind a simple payment option. This feature also enables creators to set up private groups where members can join via a one-time fee. Content creators within the TOMI ecosystem can now get paid instantly by receiving the native $TOMI directly within the messaging feature.
The Pay-to-View Content feature permits creators to monetize posts and media without using external tools. In this feature, specific messages or media inside a group can be locked behind a paywall, protecting the integrity of content creators’ works. The Paid Group Access feature allows admins to charge a one-time fee for joining private groups, with payments being made in $TOMI and processed instantaneously with the chat’s flow.
By adding these monetization features, TOMI’s messaging app removes middlemen to allow content creators and community leaders to get paid directly via an intuitive, crypto-native payment mechanism. Built for scale, the app supports mainstream adoption without compromising on decentralization. All of these features work naturally within the chat experience. There’s no need to switch between apps or set up complicated payment systems..
“At TOMI, we are genuinely committed to fostering financial freedom by prioritizing privacy and a seamless user experience,” says Moshe Hogeg, Founder and Senior Consultant at TOMI. “These unique monetization features will serve an important role for content creators and community managers who leverage our ecosystem. By embedding these capabilities into our messaging app, creators can sell exclusive content within closed groups, educators can provide paywalled materials for lesson posts, or community managers can establish access-controlled private membership groups.”
