 Trust Wallet has officially added support for Sonic’s native token, S.

In an<a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://trustwallet.com/blog/blockchain/beginners-guide-to-sonic-s-chain" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> announcement</a> on March 3, 2025, the crypto wallet service provider stated that its users can now send, receive, store, and track the token directly within the Trust Wallet mobile app.
Sonic, a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain previously known as Fantom, has gained traction recently. Alongside the name change, the project team launched its mainnet in December 2024, transitioning to an EVM-compatible network with transaction finality of 720 milliseconds. By March 2025, Sonic had surpassed $300 million in total value locked (TVL) and onboarded over 40 dApps.
Meanwhile, Aave has <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://vote.onaave.com/proposal/?proposalId=257" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">deployed</a> its newest v3 platform and lending markets on the blockchain. The DeFi protocol’s move<a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://defi-planet.com/2025/02/aave-considers-expansion-to-sonic-with-63m-liquidity-commitment/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> followed a governance proposal from its developer team</a>, which received full support from the protocol’s community.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Sonic’s unique fee-sharing model was one of the motivations for the move. The project team noted that the protocol would get an additional revenue stream thanks to the blockchain’s feature that allows protocols hosted on it to earn a portion of transaction fees generated by user activity. The Aave team also cited the track record of Sonic’s development team and its innovative blockchain infrastructure as strong reasons for expansion.

said Stani Kulechov, founder of Aave Labs, The Block reported.
Aave’s integration into Sonic is backed by liquidity commitments, including $15 million from the Sonic Foundation, 50 million Sonic-native $S tokens, and $800,000 in stablecoins from Aave.
As of press time,<a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/sonic/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> S was trading at $0.6564,</a> a 14.49% decrease in the last 24 hours and a 21.48% decrease in the last seven days.
