Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said that 75% of Ripple Labs’ job openings are now based in the United States, and the company has closed more deals and partnerships in the US since the November 2024 election than in the previous six months.
Garlinghouse attributed the changes to the incoming Trump administration and Donald Trump’s pro-crypto rhetoric. The CEO wrote in a Jan. 5 X <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://x.com/bgarlinghouse/status/1875939452226564177" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">post</a>:

The second Trump administration is set to assume office on Jan. 20, and the industry is already making moves before the highly anticipated inauguration.
Mining company Hive Digital recently announced that it would <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/hive-digital-moves-hq-texas-citing-supportive-climate-under-trump" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">relocate its headquarters</a> from Vancouver, Canada, to San Antonio, Texas, in the United States.&nbsp;&nbsp;
“The new administration under President-elect Donald Trump has demonstrated a more pro-Bitcoin stance,” the company wrote in its Dec. 31 <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://www.hivedigitaltechnologies.com/news/hive-digital-technologies-announces-relocation-of-head-office-to-san-antonio-texas-and-transition-to-us-gaap-reporting/" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">announcement</a>.
Morgan Stanley, one of the largest financial institutions in the world and the owner of the E-Trade platform, is <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/morgan-stanley-e-trade-adding-crypto-report" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">considering adding crypto trading</a> to the brokerage website’s list of supported assets.
Spokespeople for the company cited the pro-crypto rhetoric of the inbound Trump administration as one of the drivers behind the potential addition of crypto assets to the E-trade platform.
ARK Invest founder Cathie Wood recently predicted an uptick in corporate mergers and acquisitions over the next four years and <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/cathie-wood-bitcoin-price-forecast-trump-ma" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">predicted a $1 million BTC price</a> by 2030 due to pro-innovation policies and Bitcoin’s scarcity.
The asset manager said the expected deregulation under the second Trump administration will create a more business-friendly regulatory environment.
