It was a sunny day in Sydney, Australia, typical stuff you see in tourism ads, birds flying, a gentle breeze swaying the native Australian gum trees. The sun was starting to give hints that it’s about to go down. And my phone rings.It wasn’t a local call, it was a WhatsApp call, and I could see that it was from Rick Schmitz, our CEO at LTO Network.I was excited to speak to him, we were both digesting an interesting conversation that we had the day before, in the late hours of my night, which for him in the UK was late afternoon.5 minutes into the call, there was immediately a sense that we were on the right path. But an overwhelming realization of the challenging path ahead.Speaking and working with Rick is different from other jobs and bosses that I&#39;ve had. Most of my jobs when I was in my 20s and early 30s felt like I was constantly trying to prove myself and convince my bosses that the things that were so clear and obvious to me were the right decisions for the business. Time and time again, they wouldn&#39;t listen, and I saw billion-dollar idea after billion-dollar idea slip by through the comfort inaction of comfort zones. You see, businesses often start with really excited enthusiasm and the &#34;startup&#34; energy.But eventually, if the business is profitable enough, management get comfortable, and they lose their motivation and incentive to grow and push.Rick never has that, he&#39;s always enthusiastic about growth and doesn&#39;t want to stay still and wait for things... and that&#39;s what attracts me to the LTO Network project. I share that same sense of urgency and excitement for the future.&#34;With this approach, we can tokenize everything and anything! It&#39;s like everything we have made to date has led us here to this path.&#34; I told Rick, and he agreed.If anything, that phone call sealed the deal. This is the path forward for LTO Network. Fast-forward a few months, and quite a number of challenges had us revisiting our approach and strategy (which has now been cemented in).We question ourselves, often in fact… “is there a better way to do this? Will this work?
