The computational power of the Bitcoin network continues to grow at an impressive rate. Over the past year, the <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hashrate</a> has doubled, reaching a record 650 exahashes per second (EH/s), indicating a continuous influx of new miners and equipment upgrades.
In 2013, the Bitcoin network had a power of just 4.66 petahashes per second (PH/s). Thus, over 11 years, the hashrate has increased nearly 140,000 times—an unprecedented figure in computational technology. Experts predict that by 2030, computational power could increase millions of times compared to 2013 levels.
This exponential growth enhances the network's security and stability, making it virtually immune to "51%" attacks. The increasing hashrate also reflects growing interest in Bitcoin from institutional and private investors, as well as advancements in mining technologies and improvements in energy efficiency.
