<p>The Bitcoin <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/texas-residents-challenge-bitcoin-mining-industrys-impact-on-power-grid-and-communities/">mining industry</a> has seen a surge in mergers and acquisitions (M&amp;A) activity in 2024, with a total of $820 млн in deals related to mining infrastructure. These transactions have added approximately 1.2 gigawatts of available power capacity to the network. Companies like <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/cleanspark-doubles-down-on-bitcoin-mining-with-55m-expansion/">CleanSpark</a>, one of the most active acquirers, have expanded their operations across Georgia, Mississippi, Wyoming, and Tennessee, taking advantage of available infrastructure to boost their mining capabilities.</p> 
<p>Most of these M&amp;A deals have been funded through a combination of cash payments (around $400 млн) and stock transactions. With increased competition among miners, the need for immediate access to power and mining capacity has driven this rapid acquisition spree, positioning large players to scale up ahead of smaller competitors.</p>
