<p>Vitalik Buterin has once again set a clear tone for the future of Layer 2 (L2) rollups. He has urged the industry to reach Stage 1 readiness by the end of 2024. Buterin has made it clear that he will only support rollups that have achieved Stage 1 certification, a benchmark designed to ensure that these technologies offer a higher level of trust and decentralization.</p>
