<p>FLock.io, a Pioneer in decentralized AI (dAI), has received a grant from the Ethereum Foundation. The project, which focuses on federated machine learning on the blockchain, stands as the only <a href="https://cryptonewsland.com/io-net-and-chainbase-partner-to-strengthen-decentralized-ai-and-data-networks/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">AI infrastructure initiative</a> to secure such funding.&nbsp;</p>  
<p>This <a href="https://esp.ethereum.foundation/academic-grants" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">grant</a> will fuel FLock’s pioneering research into optimizing incentive mechanisms for smart contract-enabled blockchain solutions, enhancing the security and decentralization of AI model development.</p>

These collaborations are set to revolutionize the AI decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN) sector.</p>  
<p>FLock's Proof of AI (PoAI) consensus, developed in partnership with ionet, simplifies the verification of DePIN nodes through compute-intensive AI training tasks. This innovation not only enhances the integrity of decentralized systems but also positions FLock.io as a key player in AI and blockchain convergence.</p>  
<p>Moreover, FLock.io's $6 million seed round has solidified its position as a leader in Web3. The London-based startup, founded by Oxford graduates, is committed to empowering communities by shifting control away from centralized corporations. <p>Significantly, FLock’s research will expand on its earlier work, notably the <a href="https://www.computer.org/csdl/journal/ai/5555/01/10471193/1VpY6lFFWko" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">paper</a> “Defending Against Poisoning Attacks in Federated Learning With Blockchain,” published in IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence. This research, led by Dr. Zhipeng Wang and Jiahao Sun of Imperial College London, aims to create robust mechanisms that deter malicious behaviour in decentralized AI development.</p>  
<p>Consequently, FLock.io is advancing AI technology and also setting new standards for security, trust, and computational integrity in the AI blockchain.
