<p class="is-style-lead">Blockchain developer Mysten Labs has opened preorders for its SuiPlay0X1 gaming handheld, the first device to integrate Sui blockchain, offering a gaming experience with web3 features.</p>
<p>Mysten Labs, the developer behind the <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/sui/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Sui</a> blockchain, has launched preorders for its new gaming handheld, the SuiPlay0X1, according to a Sept. 2 <a href="https://venturebeat.com/games/mysten-labs-unveils-specs-for-suiplay0x1-web3-gaming-handheld/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">report</a> from Venture Beat.</p>
<p>The SuiPlay0X1, powered by Playtron’s device-agnostic game operating system, features an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U CPU, an AMD Ryzen 780M GPU, 16 GB of DRAM memory, and a 512GB SSD with expandable storage.</p>

<p>The device also boasts a 7-inch IPS no-bezel screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, and supports both WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. Weighing in at 677 grams, the SuiPlay0X1 is expected to be comparable to the popular Steam Deck, another gaming console developed by Valve.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="suiplay0x1-to-be-delivered-in-2025">SuiPlay0X1 to be delivered in 2025</h2>
<p>Priced at $600, plus shipping and tax, the SuiPlay0X1 can be purchased using cryptocurrencies such as Sui (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/sui/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SUI</a>), Ethereum (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/ethereum/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ETH</a>), or Solana (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/solana/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SOL</a>). Preorders are open until all available units are sold, with the first thousand customers receiving a soul-bound <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/nft/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">non-fungible token</a> that grants special access, rewards, and perks, according to the report. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2025.</p>
<p>While it is yet to be seen what blockchain functions the console will feature, the device is understood to support default PC games from platforms like Epic Games and Steam, and will also host Sui-powered games.</p>
<p>This launch by Mysten Labs is part of a larger trend of blockchain companies entering the gaming sector. For instance, in September 2022, blockchain ecosystem Zilliqa also <a href="https://venturebeat.com/games/zilliqa-announces-web3-console/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">unveiled</a> its own web3-based console, which combines gaming with crypto mining. However, despite these innovations, no web3 company has yet achieved mainstream adoption in the gaming industry.</p>
