About 12,000 Bitcoin (BTC) was taken out from their reserves and replaced by TRX, the native token of the Tron (TRX) blockchain, as the main asset backing USDD’s value, which is now worth over $726 million. 
USDD, under the conservative approach of over-collateralization, to make sure such is not happening with them, has indeed become such. At that time, the Tron (TRX) DAO set the minimum collateralization value as 130%, but this recent change was one of them, and some others were done without holding a vote. The only thing on the USDD website’s protocol is that in May 2023, they would use Tron (TRX) tokens from the stablecoin’s reserve for Tron (TRX) governance.
