The world of crypto is buzzing with excitement as the population of crypto millionaires has skyrocketed by an incredible 95% over the past year, according to a <a href="https://www.henleyglobal.com/publications/crypto-wealth-report-2024?data=34fi897denis39tko48omelchenko8kvye932" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">new report</a> by New World Wealth and Henley &amp; Partners. This remarkable growth, driven by the rise of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and the expanding crypto market, has pushed the number of crypto millionaires globally to 172,300, up from 88,200 in 2023. 
This surge in wealth is not limited to just millionaires. The report reveals that the number of crypto centimillionaires, those holding $100 million or more in cryptocurrency, has also increased to 325 individuals. Additionally, 28 crypto billionaires have emerged, further solidifying the dominant position of cryptocurrencies in the global financial landscape. 
Among the millionaires, Bitcoin continues to reign supreme. The report highlights that the number of Bitcoin millionaires has more than doubled, reaching 85,400. This surge in Bitcoin millionaires is largely attributed to the growth of spot Bitcoin ETFs, which have accumulated over $50 billion in assets since their launch in January. 
Andrew Amoils, head of research at New World Wealth, commented on the data during an interview with CNBC. He pointed out that of the six new crypto billionaires created in 2023, five owe their fortunes to Bitcoin. This shows Bitcoin’s “dominant position when it comes to attracting long-term investors who buy large holdings.”

Singapore tops the list due to its supportive banking system, comprehensive regulations like the Payment Services Act, and alignment with global standards. Following Singapore, Hong Kong ranks second, with the United Arab Emirates and the U.S. also emerging as top destinations for crypto millionaires seeking favorable conditions for their wealth. 
The relocation of crypto millionaires to these jurisdictions is reshaping the global landscape of wealth. As more individuals seek out environments that align with their financial goals, the influence of cryptocurrency on global migration patterns is becoming increasingly evident.
