Vitalik just dropped a new ENS domain, “dacc.eth,” which stands for “Defensive Accelerationism” (DACC).&nbsp; 
Unlike the “Effective Accelerationism” (EACC) that’s been buzzing around Silicon Valley, DACC isn’t about pushing tech forward without considering the fallout.&nbsp; 
Instead, it’s about advancing technology with caution, focusing on areas like cybersecurity, privacy, and better governance. 
If you’re into Ethereum, you’ve probably heard of the Ethereum Name Service (ENS). It’s basically the blockchain version of DNS, letting you register human-readable domain names like “dacc.eth” instead of dealing with those long-ass hexadecimal addresses that nobody can remember.

ENS makes it easier to interact with Ethereum, which is why it’s a big deal in pushing blockchain adoption. ENS is also decentralized, which means no single point of failure. 
That’s a huge plus for security and censorship resistance, especially when compared to traditional DNS systems that can be easily targeted or taken down.

So, what’s the deal with Defensive Accelerationism? Vitalik’s been throwing this idea around as a response to the rapid pace of technological advancements, especially in AI and blockchain.&nbsp; 
DACC is about taking a more measured approach, focusing on defense, decentralization, and making sure tech actually benefits people instead of screwing them over. 
Vitalik has pointed out that while tech can make our lives better, it can also bring some serious risks if we’re not careful.&nbsp; 
DACC pushes for the development of technologies that protect individuals and society from those risks, whether they’re cyber attacks or something bigger. 
Another interesting angle is how “<a href="https://app.ens.domains/dacc.eth" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">dacc.eth</a>” could be integrated into various decentralized applications (dApps) and services within the Ethereum ecosystem.&nbsp; 
By embedding DACC principles into real-world applications, Vitalik could push for a broader adoption of tech that prioritizes defense and decentralization.
