A recent poll conducted by NickH, a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency community and CEO at <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/luxor-innovates-with-extended-contracts-and-daily-settlements-for-enhanced-bitcoin-mining/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Luxor</a> Technology, has revealed that <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/russia-s-energy-ministry-charges-forward-to-legalize-crypto-mining/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Russia</a> is currently perceived as the leading destination for Bitcoin <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hashrate</a> growth. The poll, shows that 49.2% of respondents believe Russia is where the majority of new hashrate is being deployed. This is significantly higher than other regions, with <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/immersion-cooling-transforms-chinas-crypto-mining-landscape/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">China</a> receiving 19.7% of the votes, Africa 13.1%, and 18% going to "Other" region, according to <a href="https://x.com/hash_bender/status/1821602214856814833" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hash_bender</a>.

NickH highlighted the shifting dynamics in global Bitcoin mining, noting that for every new machine plugged in within the USA, it appears that three are being deployed elsewhere. This trend indicates a potential migration of mining power away from the <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/pennsylvania-a-new-hub-for-cryptomining-ignites-environmental-concerns/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">United States</a>, with Russia emerging as a key player in the global hashrate landscape. The poll results reflect growing sentiment that Russia is becoming increasingly attractive for <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/russias-bitcoin-gold-rush-mining-machine-influx-outpaces-rest-of-the-world/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin miners</a>, possibly due to favorable energy prices and regulatory environments.
